Dragon Quest Builders
is an upcoming video game which will be published by Square Enix for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita. The game is set in Alefgard, the world of the original ''Dragon Quest'' video game, and players control the saviour who is tasked with rebuilding the world after it was destroyed by the evil Dragonlord. The game features a voxel aesthetic style, with gathering and building elements similar to ''Minecraft''. It is scheduled to be released in Japan on January 28, 2016.

Materials that are gatherable by the player include "rock, wood, fruit, plantlife, slime ooze, and more". Monsters such as Slime and Dragon in original ''Dragon Quest'' will appear in the game. The player has a health bar, and early screenshots show a food meter.〔
